This page explains how to delete your Latus account and its associated data.
An account is only created in Latus if you chose to sign in with Google to use
the "Shared Trip" feature. If you never signed in, you have no
account, and all your data stays on your device only.
Option A — Delete from within the app (immediate)
- Open Latus and go to Settings (the gear icon).
- Scroll to the "Shared Trip" section (shown when signed in).
- Tap "Delete account & data".
- Confirm in the dialog. Your account and cloud data are deleted immediately.
Option B — Request deletion by email
You can also email a deletion request to latus.support@gmail.com from
the address linked to your Google account, with the subject "Latus account
deletion". We will process it and delete your data within 7 business days.
What is deleted
- Your authentication account (Firebase Authentication) — including the name and email from Google.
- All trips you own, with their synced contents (dates, destination, activities, expenses, places).
- Your server profile document (user ID, name) and the private document holding your email.
- Your trip-build jobs and destination log stored under your account on the server.
Feedback / support messages you've sent are kept separately as support
correspondence; if you'd like those deleted too, say so in your request.
What is kept
- The local planning data on your device (planning, journal, places, photos)
remains on the device and is unaffected. You can delete it separately via
Settings → "Reset all data", or by uninstalling the app.
Retention period
Server data (Firebase) is deleted immediately on request. Any
residual backup copies are fully purged within 30 days.
