This page explains how to delete your Latus account and its associated data.
An account is only created in Latus if you chose to sign in with Google to use
the "Shared Trip" feature. If you never signed in, you have no
account, and all your data stays on your device only.
Option A — Delete from within the app (immediate)
- Open Latus and go to Settings (the gear icon).
- Scroll to the "Shared Trip" section (shown when signed in).
- Tap "Delete account & data".
- Confirm in the dialog. Your account and cloud data are deleted immediately.
Option B — Request deletion by email
You can also email a deletion request to latus.support@gmail.com from
the address linked to your Google account, with the subject "Latus account
deletion". We will process it and delete your data within 7 business days.
What is deleted
- Your authentication account (Firebase Authentication) — including the name and email from Google.
- All trips you own, with their synced contents (dates, destination, activities, expenses, places).
- Your server profile document (user ID, name) and the private document holding your email.
- Your trip-build jobs and destination log stored under your account on the server.
- Your purchase and entitlement records — which trips were unlocked, the
order id, and the order-to-account binding (no payment details, which we
never store in the first place).
- Planned itinerary days not yet purchased, held on the server under your account.
Note: deleting your account also deletes the entitlement for
any trip you paid for. This is irreversible and cannot be restored or refunded
on that basis — refunds are handled by the store only. If you have paid and
simply want a fresh start, consider resetting local data instead of deleting
the account.
Feedback / support tickets you've sent are deleted automatically
with the account, along with everything submitted with them. What remains is the
message already delivered to our support inbox by email — ordinary
correspondence, which does not delete itself. If you'd like that removed too,
say so in your request.
What is kept
- The local planning data on your device (planning, journal, places, photos)
remains on the device and is unaffected. You can delete it separately via
Settings → "Reset all data", or by uninstalling the app.
- One anonymous marker per device recording that the free trip has
already been used. It is a one-way hash of a device identifier
with a yes/no beside it — no name, no email, no trip content, and it
cannot be reversed to work out who you are. We keep it so that deleting an
account or reinstalling does not reset the free trip, so it is
not deleted along with the account. In practice: after
deletion, this device will not receive another free trip.
Retention period
Server data (Firebase) is deleted immediately on request. Any
residual backup copies are fully purged within 30 days.
