Terms of Service

Last updated: August 2026 · App: Latus

These Terms of Service ("Terms") form a legal agreement between you and the individual developer of Latus (also marketed as "Voya"), a consumer travel-planning app for Android and iOS ("the App", "we", "us", "the developer"). Please read them carefully. By installing or using the App you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the App.

1. Acceptance of terms

By downloading, installing, accessing, or using the App, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms and by our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the App.

2. License to use the App

Subject to these Terms, we grant you a personal, limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, non-commercial, and revocable license to download and use the App on devices you own or control, for your own private travel planning only. You may not sell, rent, sublicense, redistribute, copy, modify, reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code of the App, except to the extent such restriction is prohibited by applicable law.

3. Eligibility

The App is intended for users aged 18 and over. It is not directed to children, and children under the age of 13 should not use it. By using the App you represent that you meet these eligibility requirements.

4. Not a travel agency; no bookings

The App is a personal planning and organization tool only. It is not a travel agency, tour operator, or booking service. We do not sell, book, reserve, or arrange flights, hotels, transport, insurance, or any other travel product or service, and we are not a party to any travel arrangement, reservation, or contract you may enter into with any airline, accommodation provider, carrier, insurer, or other third party.

The App only helps you plan and organize your own trips. Any decision to book, pay for, or rely on a travel arrangement is made by you, directly with the relevant provider and subject to that provider's terms. We are not responsible for the availability, pricing, quality, performance, or cancellation of any travel product or service.

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

6. User content and accuracy of your data

You are solely responsible for the information you enter into the App — including trip details, budgets and expenses, journal entries, saved places, and documents added to the Document Wallet (such as passport, visa, or insurance information) and the Emergency Medical Info card. You are responsible for the accuracy, legality, and completeness of that information. You retain all rights to your own content; we do not claim ownership of it.

7. Shared trips and content you share with others

The App lets you invite other people to a shared trip using an invite code. Members of a shared trip can have different roles — owner, editor, or viewer — and the owner can transfer ownership or remove members. These actions are managed through the App's in-app controls.

When you share a trip, you choose to disclose your trip data to the people you invite. You are responsible for whom you invite and for what you choose to share. Members receive access according to their role: viewers can see shared content, and editors can also change it. We act only as a conduit that transmits and synchronizes the content you choose to share; we do not monitor, moderate, or control what users share with one another, and we are not responsible for how other members use, copy, retain, or further disclose shared content. Leaving or disbanding a shared trip is handled through the in-app controls.

8. AI features — important disclaimer

The App includes AI-powered features such as smart translation, journal summaries, place and safety recommendations, AI trip-building and itinerary generation, and smart import of boarding passes and bookings. These features are powered by Google Gemini.

AI output can be inaccurate, incomplete, outdated, or misleading. It is provided for convenience only and is not professional, medical, legal, financial, or travel-safety advice. You must independently verify any critical information — including but not limited to visa and entry requirements, health and vaccination guidance, safety and security conditions, and flight, transport, or booking times — with official and authoritative sources before relying on it. We are not responsible for any decision you make based on AI output.

Recommendations, itineraries, and activities. The recommendations and itineraries the App produces are suggestions only, and are not confirmation that any activity is safe, suitable, or lawful for you. Some activities — including hiking, water activities, adventure sports, and time spent in remote areas or in changeable weather — carry inherent physical risk. The decision to take part in any activity is yours alone, and it is your responsibility to assess your fitness, your medical condition, on-the-ground conditions, and the equipment required, and to follow the instructions of the operator and the local authorities. We do not vet operators, licences, insurance, or safety standards.

Personalisation. The App tailors recommendations to the details you provide (party size, ages, pace, and preferences), but that tailoring is not a determination that a place or activity is suitable for children, infants, pregnant travellers, people with disabilities, or anyone with a medical or accessibility need. Age limits, accessibility requirements, entry conditions, permits, dress codes, and local customs vary by location — check them directly with the venue or the competent authority before you go.

Locations, maps, and navigation. Coordinates, addresses, distances, and navigation routes shown in the App are based on third-party data and AI output and may be wrong, imprecise, or out of date. Navigation itself is performed by an external maps application and is subject to its terms. Do not rely on the App for safe navigation: obey traffic law, road signs, and actual road conditions, and do not use your device while driving.

Dietary restrictions, allergies, and kashrut. If you set a dietary restriction (for example kosher, vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free, or an allergy), the App will adapt its recommendations and itinerary to it — but this is not an approval, verification, or certification of any venue. We do not verify menus, ingredients, kashrut certification, preparation practices, or cross-contamination, and we have no ability to do so. A medical dietary restriction — including coeliac disease and food allergies — can be life-threatening. It is your responsibility to confirm every detail directly with the venue before consuming anything. Any adaptation performed by the App is not dietary or medical advice.

Medical, vaccination, and safety information. Information in these areas — including vaccination recommendations, safety advice, emergency numbers, and embassy details — is provided for general information only, may be incomplete or out of date, and is not a substitute for advice from a physician, a travel-medicine clinic, or the competent authorities. Consult a qualified professional and verify against official government guidance before travelling.

Where disclosures appear. The disclosures, disclaimers, and conditions applying to your use of the App are collected in this document and in the Privacy Policy, and are not necessarily repeated on every screen or beside every result inside the App. Your use of the App constitutes acceptance of these Terms in full, as set out in section 1.

9. Third-party services

The App relies on third-party services to function, including services provided by Google (Firebase Authentication, Firestore, the Gemini API, Maps SDK, ML Kit, Analytics, and Crashlytics), Sign in with Apple (on iOS), and exchange-rate data from open.er-api.com. Sign-in is provided through Sign in with Apple (on iOS) and Google sign-in, alongside an anonymous baseline account; the App does not manage or store passwords. Account creation and deletion are available in the App. Your use of these services is also governed by their respective terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for the availability, content, or practices of third-party services.

10. Cost of use and in-app purchases

Downloading and using the App is free. There is no subscription, no recurring charge, and no periodic payment of any kind.

What is always free. Every tool in the App — budget, wallet, translation, weather, maps, journal, sharing a trip with other travellers, and Latus AI — is available at no cost. In every trip you plan, the first days of the itinerary open in full for free. The number of free days is shown in the App before any purchase.

What is paid. You may purchase the unlock of the full itinerary — the trip days beyond the free ones. This is a one-time purchase for one trip: you pay once, and that trip stays open for as long as your account exists. The purchase does not renew, there is nothing to cancel, and you will not be charged again unless you choose to buy for another trip. A traveller who joins a trip that has been paid for receives the full itinerary without paying themselves.

Signing in to purchase. A purchase is saved to an account, not to a device, so it requires signing in. That is what lets a trip you bought open again after a reinstall, on a new phone, on a different operating system, and for the travel companions you invited. You can plan and build a trip without signing in — signing in is required only at the moment of purchase.

How we charge. All payments are made through the app store you installed from — Google Play or the App Store — and are subject to its terms. The price, currency, and any promotion are presented by the store on the purchase screen and are what governs. We never see or collect payment-card or payment-method details. We receive from the store a confirmation that the purchase was made and an order identifier, and nothing else. Full detail is in the Privacy Policy.

Cancellation and refunds. Because billing runs through the store, refund requests are handled by the store and not by us — via Google Play or the App Store, under their refund policies. If a refund is issued, the entitlement for that trip is revoked and the trip closes in the app and is locked again — it is kept for you under "My trips", so your journal, photos and everything you added remain yours. Buying again re-opens it. None of the above limits any rights you have under applicable law, including the Israeli Consumer Protection Law, 5741-1981; if you believe you have a statutory right of cancellation, contact us and we will handle it.

Changes. We may change the price, the number of free days, or the scope of the purchase in the future. Any such change applies to new purchases only — a trip already unlocked stays unlocked on the terms it was bought under.

11. Affiliate links and compensation

Disclosure: some links in the App are affiliate links. If you book or buy through one, we may receive a commission from the provider — at no extra cost to you. The price you pay is the same as if you had gone to that provider directly.

This applies to the flight, hotel, eSIM, and tour offers shown in the App. Partners currently include Travelpayouts (and through it Aviasales and Airalo), Stay22 (and through it Booking.com), and GetYourGuide. This list may change.

What this does not mean. We are not a travel agency and we sell you nothing (section 4). We do not set the price, availability, or booking terms, and we are not a party to any transaction you make with a provider — it is governed solely by that provider's terms, and service, cancellation, and refunds are handled by them. We are not responsible for the content or practices of partner sites.

What it does mean for the recommendations. Recommendations in the App are built from your trip — destination, dates, and the preferences you set — not from the size of a commission. We do not sell placement and we do not promote a provider in exchange for payment. That said, a commercial interest exists, you are entitled to know about it, and you should exercise your own judgement before booking — exactly as we advise for any Latus AI output (section 8).

For what data reaches a partner when you tap such a link, see the Privacy Policy.

12. Feedback

If you choose to send us feedback, suggestions, ideas, or other proposals about the App, you agree that we may use them for any purpose, without restriction and without any obligation to you (including no obligation of compensation, attribution, or confidentiality).

13. Changes to the App and availability

We may modify, suspend, or discontinue the App, or any feature or part of it, at any time and without liability. Features may change, be limited, or be removed, and we do not guarantee that any particular feature will remain available.

14. Disclaimer of warranties

The App is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, and non-infringement. To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, we do not warrant that the App will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure, or that any data or AI output will be accurate or reliable.

15. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the developer shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, profits, revenue, or goodwill, arising out of or related to your use of (or inability to use) the App, including any reliance on AI output or on data entered into the App.

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the developer's total aggregate liability arising out of or related to the App or these Terms shall not exceed the greater of (a) the total amount you paid for the App in the twelve (12) months before the event giving rise to the claim, or (b) ILS 100 (approximately USD 30), which is on the order of the price of a single additional trip. Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot be excluded or limited under applicable law.

16. Indemnification

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, you agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless the developer from and against any claims, demands, damages, losses, liabilities, costs, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of or related to: your misuse of the App; your User Content; content you share with other members of a shared trip; your violation of these Terms; or your violation of any law or any right of a third party.

17. Apple App Store — additional terms (iOS only)

The following terms apply only to the version of the App you obtain from the Apple App Store and are in addition to the rest of these Terms. In the event of any conflict with the rest of these Terms, these Apple-specific terms control for the iOS version only.

18. Google Play

Your use of the Android version of the App is also subject to the Google Play Terms of Service.

19. Export and sanctions compliance

You agree to comply with all applicable export-control, import, and economic sanctions laws and regulations in connection with your use of the App, including those of the jurisdictions that apply to you. You may not use or export the App in violation of such laws.

20. Privacy

Your use of the App is also subject to our Privacy Policy, which explains what data the App collects, how it is used, and the choices available to you.

21. Termination

You may stop using the App at any time and uninstall it from your device, and you may delete your account from within the App. We may suspend or terminate your access to the App or its features if you breach these Terms or if required for legal, security, or operational reasons. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination — including disclaimers, limitation of liability, indemnification, and governing law — will survive.

22. Governing law and jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Israel, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. The competent courts of Israel shall have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising from these Terms or your use of the App.

23. Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The current version will always be published at this URL with an updated "last updated" date at the top. Material changes will be announced inside the App before taking effect. Your continued use of the App after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
